• HTI links evangelical theological organizations, institutions, and resources to fulfill the Great Commission through Christian cooperation.
• HTI makes offline and online learning accessible to Christian communities.
• HTI consults theological organizations and institutions in mission fields regarding curriculum development, administration, and academic operations.
• HTI explores current global Christian trends and shares findings with Christian communities to support mission work.

BELIEFS
1. HTI upholds the evangelical faith, affirming the ultimate authority of the Bible, the Trinity, Christ-centeredness, salvation by grace through faith, and the spread of the Gospel through words and Christian charity (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Ephesians 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 1:13; Galatians 6:14; Ephesians 2:8-9; James 2:18).
2. HTI carries out the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).
3. HTI considers individual and local circumstances in providing theological education for Christian communities (Colossians 1:28-29).

History
Our journey began during the challenging days of the COVID-19 pandemic when a vision emerged to reach and equip Christian leaders in mission fields worldwide.
This vision inspired the creation of an initiative to provide theological education through both online and offline platforms to those in need.
This initiative laid a key foundation for the expansion of the Horizon Global Network (HGN) and its Theological Education Ministry (TEM), thereby broadening the scope of Christian ministries.
Recognizing the growing significance of theological education, our ministry leadership—after much prayer and discussion—established the Horizon Theological Institute (HTI) in 2023 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering these ministries.
Headquartered in Texas, HTI embraces its mission by leveraging online teaching to deliver exceptional theological education to students in India and beyond.
In addition to offering online courses, HTI professors actively travel to mission fields in the Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal, and India, with plans to expand into other regions.
This hands-on approach ensures meaningful, impactful connections with local Christian leaders in diverse cultural contexts.
HTI is committed to broadening its reach and influence by harnessing robust internet infrastructure, passionate instructors, motivated students, well-organized teaching content, and systematic academic administration.
At HTI, we envision a world united in the knowledge of God, empowered by solid theological education, and dedicated to spreading the Gospel.

God’s mission, led by Him, is unfolding in various countries through diverse methods.
Although the approaches may differ depending on the mission field, the ultimate purpose remains the same—to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
Missionaries labor diligently, dedicating themselves to evangelism, discipleship training, and church planting.

However, the next critical step is to systematically equip local pastors with deeper theological knowledge.

  • Yet, this task cannot be accomplished by missionaries alone.
  • HTI was established to partner with missionaries in meeting the growing need for theological training in the mission field.
  • HTI is not a seminary but a network of theological educators and resources providing structured theological education.
  • We offer essential training through on-site lectures and online courses, tailored to meet the specific needs of each mission field.
  • This theological training ministry is a vital means of expanding God’s Kingdom.
